Only a single piece of your entire outfit should be made of spangled material. If you are wearing sequins; earrings, necklaces and bracelets, if worn at all, should be simple.
Day
If you wear sequins while the sun is up, make sure they are sprinkled on daytime fabrics such as cotton, wool, cashmere or linen. No pretty prints with sequins. Go solid or graphic like a zebra-stripe bag for example.
